My name is Tony Gee; I was born on the 15th November 1984, which makes me a Scorpio. I have lived in Melbourne for literally all my life. I first began my education at St.Mary's primary school in West Melbourne, but as a result of the school's struggles, it had to be closed down in 1995, which led me to the next stage of my educational life. My parents sacrificed a great deal to send me to Xavier College, a private school in the eastern suburbs. This transition in my life, really made a difference, not only was I given the opportunity to have a more professional and high standard level of education, but I was also exposed to a culture much different to many others. Xavier being a strict catholic boys school gave me opportunities in which I would have never experienced if I had stayed at St.Mary's. Xavier gave me the opportunity to excel in areas which I most enjoyed. These areas included music and sports, which was played regularly on a weekly basis. But my time in high school has come to a closure. Hopefully it has led me in a way that will enable me to cope well with uni. RMIT is the next stage in life, once again a totally different experience, one that concentrates more upon self directed learning, one in which prepares us steadfast for the future years in the working industry. With everything I have taken with me from Xavier, I hope to use it effectively and efficiently, to meet new people, do as well as I can in all that I participate in, and just simply enjoy the next few years of university life.
